This time in your life is full of possibility and change, and I can help you navigate through the stressors that come up for you along the way. I am here to listen and to support you while giving you the tools to face your situation and feel good about yourself and the decisions that you make.

I adapt my therapeutic approach to provide the best treatment plan and care for my clients by tailoring the therapy to their specific needs. New Perspective Counseling Services
Life can be very overwhelming and challenging. It is my belief that we possess the ability to create positive change within our lives. At times, we may feel less able to overcome the issues that we are currently facing and need to also process things that have occurred in our past.
It is my goal to help people reach their potential in their lives by providing a comfortable environment for them to express themselves freely in a collaborative, non-judgmental, accepting space. I am genuine and empathetic and aim to be direct with my communication to help each person in unique ways. I work with individuals, couples, and families to identify barriers to reaching their goals, including issues within yourself, as well as how to work with issues outside of yourself, empowering you along the way.
I use a combination of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help identify patterns that may be negatively impacting you, as well as Motivational Interviewing to help break through the ambivalence that may be keeping you stuck and preventing you from creating the necessary change in your life.
I want to help you feel more in control of your life and your future.

K’nisha Jones, M.S., LPC
New Perspective Counseling Services
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Often times people allow feelings of anxiety, fear, guilt, shame, etc. to keep them from accomplishing goals that are meaningful to them. I incorporate honesty, direct communication, and compassion into my approach to encourage individuals to be an agent of change within there own lives and align themselves with what they truly value.
My experience includes but isn’t limited to addressing anxiety and phobias, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and body image concerns. I am a firm believer that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy so I utilize a conversational approach, drawing from various therapeutic approaches to aid my clients in reaching their goals.
Making the decision to begin therapy is a very courageous act and it would be my honor to begin that journey with you.
