Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:04] So a lot of this is what you're doing is talking about holistic health. And I want to make sure that I kind of go through and explain at least what I mean by holistic health. Apparently everybody has different visions of everything nowadays. Holistic health to me is where we look at everything that's going on in the system that affects your physical mental health. And then we try to look at all the aspects that we have available to us and make each individual little vertical as strong as we can. And the more that we do that, the healthier the case of the entire body. So when we talk about working on a mask, we talk about working on dementia. We talk about working on ulcer class, things like that. We focus specifically on the things that that organ, the gut or the brain need to function. But we work on everything in the system. And the reason why? I feel this is the most important way to go, because this is where really rural health comes from.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:58] So I mean. If you for instance, if you if you have anemia. Right. And you're like, oh, I'm tired and I feel I have low iron, so I took iron. Great. Why do you have anemia? Why do you have it in the first place? You know, the root of some of these things is, is a little bit deeper in everything else, like. Oh, well, I have an inflamed gotten, so I can't absorb things. All right. Well, you know, you should be able to fix the gut and eat your normal food and then not have anemia. So when we start looking at stuff we got, we kind of go through and we start thinking of, okay, what all do we need to do? We need to increase the way that the body gets rid of toxins, that detox piece. So we got to increase, health, nutrition and available chemicals to the liver, to the kidneys. Right. And then this is, this is one of those big pieces where this is where MTF H.R really plays that, if you got into the HR issues or you have high stress, you basically will methyl it. Well, and so we're gonna have issues of liver. We're gonna this is a brain. We're gonna have issues detoxing wildly.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:01] You know, because you can't medically B6, you know, and you can't methyl it folic acid. We're gonna have big issues. So obviously that's the main piece. Now, before we can say any b-vitamins, you've got to go through and clear out any parasitic infections, because the parasitic infections are always going to decrease rise. Ability to methylation think we should probiotic functions that you can't digest and utilize nutrients properly. and it's going to it's going to make the any B vitamins you give the body stolen by the parasitic infection. So you got to clear the parasites. And the thing that we're seeing over and over and over again is the massive amount of parasitic infections people have because of their stress. And then the way the reason why stress plays is because when you get stressed out, your body shifts from parasympathetic, which is resting, digesting to sympathetic, which is fight, flight, freeze. And when that happens, you get stuff, which is what we so, you know, blood flow, digestive enzymes, hydrochloric acid production, bile salt production, you know, all of those pancreatic in that all that stuff sourcing shut down.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:05] And so that's why dealing with stress is a big piece. But we have to do that later. So we kill the parasites. You make sure the, the the liver and the kidneys have the food and the new nutrition they need so they can detoxify. So now we can just get the waste out. Like all of that work was just so that you can get the waste products that your body's creating out. Once what you kill the parasites, you can also you have to kill the yeast because the the probiotics that killed off yeast overgrowth. And so typically some of the risk with that are, you know, gas bloating. You can't go back and forth from loose stools and constipation. You walk in a room straight where you go in there because the inflammation of the brain, things like that. Those are, those are big ones. So there's other ones, but those are the those are the three. So once you kind of get that dealt with, now that you have the detox organs where they can actually clean the body and push the waste out, you clean the gut up.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:58] So now you can actually increase the what you're bringing in. And then you have to restock the probiotics now. You can take probiotics at this point and I do. And that's the easiest route I will tell you probably one of the best fruits we've seen this fermented foods. If you guys are eating fermented foods well done. I personally think they're disgusting. Just the thing I also like to eat, like, that's that's the real crux of this. Another. I don't eat once a day or once every two days. I really don't like the idea of having to eat all day long. I get to I it's a waste. I feel like it's a waste of my time. But we write. I write diets with you eating six times a day, so whatever suits you. But it's not. So the fermented foods aren't conducive to the way I want to live my life and my quality of life. So I take the probiotic. Once you get to that point. Now we're starting to work on okay, what else is the body lacking then? You know, do you have a genetic issue where your body doesn't meet it properly if you have IPO issues? You know, we're going to have the brain is going to remodel differently. So we need to look more into the, people who do 7500 and raising the social brain function to come back.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:08] But that same finessing function applies to the gut. Yeah. Like I keep talking about most, your serotonin is made in your gut. So once you bring the probiotic levels back up, it doesn't mean that you're gonna make serotonin. You have to have tryptophan. So tryptophan goes to five HDP five HDP goes to serotonin. So we have to start getting in the nutrients we need. Now if you want to eat I just smoked turkey like I do. A smoked turkey isn't great. If not, we're going to give you turkey fat. So at the end of the day, you have to bring these chemicals out. So we have to talk about diet and we're going to talk about you. Are you eating these things. Are you bringing these chemicals into the body? If you're not then we have to supplement those chemicals. That's where it is. So if you have body goals. So for instance, like mine, I'm still trying to cut fat down. Well, so the diet I'm on for you know for that to cut fat and talk with you.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:58] That's my main focus on that one. I still have to have the methyl to be balance. I still have to have the fatty acids. I don't have the cooking time. I still have to have all the nutrients I'm supposed to be getting from my body, from food. So you have to supplement all of those. So that's kind of where that plays in. A lot of people are like, well, I'm going too fast. I'm just not here to eat anything or taking any supplements. I'm like, well, what do you think makes your body run? You don't store a bunch of B vitamins all over, like your liver will store some rebounds and just store a giant mouth. If you have, MTV tarnishes your script. You know, you're not going to store omega three fatty acids. You know, these are things you need to bring in to help repopulate rebuild cells. The idea that our bodies are healthy enough, that we can just recycle all the stuff that's in us, and we'll be fine. I don't I don't subscribe to that. You know, with all the heavy metals, with all the, you know, biological chemicals that the atrazine, the soils that like the high fructose corn sirup and all the all the dyes and all the chemicals that you're breathing in all day long. I don't believe that your cells are healthy enough to be harvested and and chopped up and rebuilt.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:07:04] You know, that's that's a myth. And I think we need to bring those nutrients in from the outside. So, you know, you guys are going to kind of watch that and then over all of that. And that's why we talked about mental work being the biggest thing. Like I said, when you have stressed you and this is all look this up, this is big and this is big neuro stuff. So it might be difficult to find. However. The big thing is that when these things, come in, your body is going to have to kind of deal with them, and. In whatever manner they can. So when you have stress, it shifts you from parasympathetic which is resting, digesting. You're making all the enzymes, you're making hydrochloric acid. Your motility is up. You know peristalsis is going. So you know things are moving through your intestines just right. So all of this simultaneous is working where it's supposed to. When you get stressed out you shift into sympathetic. Sympathetic is fight flight freeze. So all your energy and blood flow and oxygen goes to your lungs, to your muscles to run away or fight. And it will literally shut off your brain that freeze point. Like, have you ever, like, stared through? They just went like they just froze because they were terrified that that's what happens. And so all this stuff goes away from your digestive function.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:20] So you start you suffer losing hydrochloric acid. When you start to suffer, you see that you start getting heartburn and Gerd because you replace HCL with Lakshmi tear acid. Not the same thing. We start seeing H pylori issues. We start seeing her sick infections much higher rates. We start seeing, you know, the death of the probiotic because the gut stuff, we start seeing constipation more often. We start seeing adrenal fatigue and renal failure. If we're in a sympathetic state too long because we're not digesting, we're not resolving food, we start seeing nutrient deficiencies. And so all of those things are highly problematic. If we don't then go back, a lot of times we'll go back and like, I gave you a whole bunch of supplements to actually get work. We go, oh, I finally feel better. Like, great, now you've got two options. Keep taking all these supplements or fix your brand, fix your mind, fix the way your mind works.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:11] Get out of this stressed out sympathetic state. So that's where the holistic function I spend lots of time talking about, you know, going deep in your mind, like figuring out what's going on, calming yourself down, finding ways of calling yourself down, breathing exercises, exercise, walking, different mental exercises, NLP work, you know, even the psychedelics to break that, that constant PTSD. The way that I look at PTSD is it's actually your body. So you have this like I mentioned, this little dial. Right. So you have you turn it this way and you become more sympathetic, more stressed out, right, more more on edge, more, you know, hyper aware of everything it's going on. You turn it this way. You're just like you're more relaxed. It's more I'm laying on the beach and watching the waves roll out. But what happens with post-traumatic stress is the dial gets kind of locked in all the way on, and the psychedelics kind of help go in and turn that back down. So when we have people and this is not just war veterans and FIRStrillionESPONDERS who have seen horrible things, this is, you know, all the moms have to deal with and all of that goes to deal with bills and schedules and, you know, social media that their kids are dealing with and all the things are from being a parent of a massive amount of crazy craziness, right?

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:23] From your parents. It's, you know, all the things, right? From being a husband and wife. Like, if you're really working on your marriage, it's not easy. Every day, you know, you're going to have bills, you're going to have inflation, you're gonna have all sorts of things that are just, you know, hitting you like, oh, my friends just got a divorce, you know, oh, these, you know, these people. I just found out, like, my best friend's dad died. You know, that type of stuff, like it's you're going to have these things that hit you. If we don't have a way of releasing this pressure, it's going to come back and hurt us. And so the psychedelics are a great way to kind of go through. And the way the research shows, it lifts all the neurotransmitters at once and allows us to kind of reset what we call the default neural state. And so all the crazy that's just like the right your brain gets rid of always worrying about something. We're always, you know, freaking out about something because let's find a different way to do that.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:11:11] As it comes back down, you can kind of go through and deal with these things a lot differently. Plus, while you're on psychedelics, I didn't personally see this with a lot of people who report back that they'll still see their problems like they're they'll visualize their problems and they can work through them, and they can deal with them without the emotional attachment. And so they don't have the fear that, you know, anxiety or anything, and they just go, oh, this problem has a simple solution. Now that I've removed all that stuff, you do this and this and this is where it is, or they look at and they go, this is outside of my control, so I'm not going to worry about it anymore. And it just goes away. So it is truly unbelievable what you can do with the mental peace with these psychedelics and with these with this specific mentor in NLP, like that type of thing. And then what we see is that when we reduce the stress psychologically, we reduce because it shifts you from that sympathetic nervous system. Back to the parasympathetic nervous system. We start seeing all kinds of good things happen in the body.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:12:10] And so that's why when I talk about, you know, doing the gratitudes, you know, doing the breathing exercises, doing the five love languages, like doing all the things that we need to do to create a positive mental environment and positive, you know, psychological environment and decrease our stress. That's why we go into that so heavily, because what we're finding is that you can take this elements forever, and that's fine. And I plan on doing that. But I'm also doing tremendous science. And then. To work not only for myself, for my family, because the better I get me, the better the better dad their doctor than their husband. I am for those around me. And so that's, that's one of those big places as well. So when we start taking on holistic health, it's everything. It's. Are you working out? Are you eating right? Are you supplementing? Right? What are you doing for your mental work? What are you doing for, you know, your daily stuff? How much sleep are you get all the things that make you healthier. That's what we're doing. And so I like our our calls and what we do when we bring people in. It's always like, where are you on your on your walk of doing healthy things?

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:13:10] And what can we add in that's gonna be beneficial to you but not disrupt your life? So like, can we go through and do diets? I also will bring your ten favorite foods and bring you the ten foods you wish you could never eat again. Because every once I'm going to put bacon and avocado on their list of things you never want to eat again. And that's cool. That's you. I'm always going to put bacon an avocado on your list because I think everybody likes them. So it's a good thing that you're telling me I don't like these things, that we can exclude them. But again, it's not calories, it's chemistry. You want pizza and ice cream and cupcakes and cookies. All right. You can have those things. You just can't have the ones with all the sugar and gluten and all the trash. And like like I say, it's like that. Fine. We can move things around. So you have to be excited about your diet because that's a massive for the number one place that we're poisoning ourselves.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:13:58] Like, you want to talk about cholesterol plaque and heart attacks and strokes. It's 90% or 90% of that is your food. You know you're getting the seed. Oils are high. Omega six is you're eating all the processed trash, all the glyphosate, all those inflammatory chemicals, all that stuff is wreaking havoc on your body. I feel like people say these are bad, but I eight, six Twinkies and I'm not. I'm so alive today. Yeah, good job today. But the problem is, is that that's where all this stuff comes from. So if we can change the chemical for everybody on a daily basis, you're going to change your health. That's where all of this comes from. So we're talking about holistic health. And people are like they try to narrow down what has to be natural. It has to be this. No, it's everything that you go into that goes into your health. So, for instance, I've had people who come in and say, I got to quit smoking and like, hold up, you got to quit, or you want to quit, like, oh, I got it. Quit like you're never going to, you have to want to quit smoking cigarets. It's too strong. You're not going to just decide, well, I should probably stop and you're going to easily stop.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:14:57] So a lot of that times it's like, let's narrow this down. So let's instead of smoking 24 or 5 and then get you there when you're happy with that. And we'll talk about, you know, coming the way off, then we can just balance. And so this goes on. There's lots of research showing that eating things fried in seed oil is worse for you than smoking. So, you know, if we start looking at that and then we talk about how much you're sitting, that's a big problem as well. So the exercise, the movement, things like that. So there's lots of little things. And just because you're doing one really well, you're not in any other ones doesn't mean you're healthy or unhealthy. It just means that, you know, you need some help in the other verticals. And if you're like, hey, dieting is hard for me, there's easier things we can put together for that and make it a lot easier. So it's it's not perfect, but we're one step closer. And the thing is, if you took all these, let's say, of 20 verticals and all of you, you get 3% better, but 60% overall better than you were. That's. It's pretty small. So lots of small steps end up being a really big deal.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:15:58] So that's kind of where we have to look for holistic health. It's not like you have to do everything right, but just go through and be like, how many of these things can I easily exclude from my life? How many things to easily add to my life that doesn't disrupt the flow of my life? That's going to move me in a better position. And then once you kind of get those done, then you're like, all right. What if I added one more thing? What if I dedicated, you know, time to the gym? What if I dedicated a bedtime? What if I like little things? And as you start seeing the return on investment, the energy come up. You feeling better? A lot of people want to do more of these things.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:16:30] So when we talk about holistic health, that's it. It's all of the things. And so, you know, at the beginning take pick and choose. Be like I can add these 2 or 3 things I can add these. That's my supplementation. So easy because can you swallow pills twice a day. Like as soon as you wake up or you leave the office and after dinner, like, can you, can you swallow some pills around meal times? That's why supplementation is so easy, because it should be a real easy thing to just add in your lifestyle. But that's kind of where a lot of holistic health is.
