A Personal Journey with Orthopedic Surgery and the Pillars of Wellness

This post goes live at 7, so my 10-year-old is currently undergoing surgery. He is having a plate removed from his arm. He broke his arm on the school playground and required surgery. However, he is growing, and the surgeon warned me that it will need to come out, so the operation is today. What I find amusing is that I don't trust many doctors, as I'm sure I've stated. However, when it comes to orthopedic surgery, I absolutely trust Dr. Mcnutt.

I didn't ask any questions when the doctor told us it would have to come out later; I just scheduled the procedure. Because he is a wonderful doctor, he explained why, but I didn't ask any of my usual follow-up questions. Most people around me were astonished because I usually have somebody lead me through everything and I change half of what they do. However, I am not required to do so with some doctors, such as Mcnutt. There are other excellent surgeons in the area, but for ortho, I have my team.

I can't fathom what I would have done if I hadn't known who to call in the first place. This is why I created the new website www.PillarsofWellness.com to share all of the documents I use. Now that it's a new site and the fourth quarter, no good doctor has time to do anything but treat patients. If you didn't already know, the fourth quarter is the busiest time of year for doctors since everyone has reached their deductible and wants to get things done before the end of the year.

As a result, several of the doctors I utilize, such as McNutt, are not yet listed on the site. However, if you need a good doctor, go to the website and look at who is listed. There is no way to pay to be on the site. These doctors reflect on me personally, which I cherish more than money. I hope this provides you with part of the peace of mind that I have when I need to see a doctor.
