Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:04] We're gonna talk about myocardial infarction. So a lot of you don't know exactly what was going on with mitochondria. However, if you had high school biology, you know that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. It's what makes all of our energy makes ATP, which with the body runtime, which is again, if you've heard me talk about the calorie saying, we run out of ATP, we don't run in calories. And the reason that it's important is because as our mitochondrial function declines, our energy levels decline. And it's not just oh o energy I do things. It's I have energy for the heart to beat. I have energy for the brain to work. My memory works. All the biochemical structure in my body is functioning at the highest level because it has the ATP to run on. ATP is the fuel source. Everything in the body runs up. So we need to make sure we're producing lots of that. If you heard me talk about reactive oxygen stress, which is the actual reason that we get arterial plaque, which is the real reason that we get, cancers and heart attacks and strokes. And it's one of the major reasons we get neurodegeneration, like M.S. and dementia and things like that. So not having that ATP is hyper critical to everything that goes on the body. It's it's almost as important as oxygen.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:16] Oxygen is number one ATP is kind of number two. What happens in the mitochondria over time is life beats them to hell, and they don't get a lot of time to regenerate and heal and replenish, especially with the nutrients that we have, because we never get away from the stress, we never get away from toxins, and we never get a full, you know, amount of nutrition for the, you know, every, all the chemicals the body needs. So we're always in some time of distress. There's a ton of research on heart attack strokes, mass dementia, and now long Covid that are tying it directly to, mitochondrial dysfunction. And if you Google mitochondrial dysfunction that the spelling is in both the titles of these things. Google that and you'll find all sorts of stuff on it. Now, one of the things that we do is we're trying to restore the body is we kind of put all of these things back together. So we're adding in a mitochondrial dysfunction, our mitochondrial health. Carol capped everything we do. So if you just wanted to do that, we can. But the the process we get into. The easiest way to explain it is imagine that you have a brownout, right? You know, everybody in California is from talking about where you don't really have enough power to run everything.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:39] So some places we have to shut down entirely. Some like little city blocks, some places they get a little bit of power, but not enough to run everything. That's kind of what's going on in your body. And so that's, that's the problem we're trying to fix. So imagine the difference in 2030, right. Because all of people's, what I hit 30 on my metabolism shut down and my body just started to break, and I just I could really feel it. I was getting older, and I always tell people, well, figure out what your 20s were, and I don't know how your 20s were about my 20s, but full of high stress because I was in college the entire time freaking out about that. Lots of alcohol. Lots of, you know, food I got from drive thrus, lots of bad food, lots of, you know, eating trash late at night, not getting any sleep. That took away my sleep. My food was horrendous when I was in my 20s. And so in my 30s right now, I don't even have my body. Well, you broke it, but you beat it to hell and now it's broken. You know, your hormones are off your your right hand functions off. You know how I didn't even know about racing and function when in my 20s? So there's a lot of things that we do to ourselves to break our bodies down. So, the things that we do to build them back up, the.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:52] You're getting a hormones reset, getting your function reset and your supplementation and are all really important. But what we want to do is we want to start fixing the mitochondria so they can start repairing and providing the ATP that we need to run everything in the body. So there's new peptides that we're using, that help restore, that function. We're seeing the research on them from a brain standpoint is spectacular. We're starting to see, you know, great improvements in memory processing function, mental clarity and dementia patients and Alzheimer's patients and just generally older patients. So it's basically helping everybody across the board. And this is what physiology does when you restore physiology. It helps everyone across the board, which is why people come in. Like how is it that you fix mass and how is it you fix dementia housing, fix all these things? I don't I restore the physiology the way the body is designed to be, and the body works the way it was designed to work. That's all we do. Like, you don't have to know the intricacies of every little thing, because all we're going to do, like, oh, this is how the mitochondria damage and this is how the, the myelin sheath starts to unravel during Ms.. Okay. Great. Do we know what makes the myelin sheath? Yeah.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:05:09] Do we know what fixes like Andrea. Yeah. Let's do those things and and and repair the damage. And then just let the body heal its own way. And when it doesn't heal its own way, that we can go back in and try to figure out the DNA mixes and things like that. But the vast majority of people, if we just give the body the good chemicals it needs to heal, it will heal. And so one of those things draining to heal is ATP. And the there's a lot of theory on some of my theory on some of this stuff that as we start repairing the mitochondria and they become more efficient and they can process fat at a faster, higher level, producing more ATP. I'm suspecting we might start to see some of that metabolism we have when we're younger come back, because that's where it all is. And so if we can maybe start turning that piece back into anti-aging, that might be why everybody's starting to get because there is some research on weight loss. And I always hate, you know, how I how much I hate weight loss. Because if you clean out the inflammation, guess what? You lost 5 or 6 pounds. Was it fat or was it inflation? Well it was inflammation right. Great. We definitely want the inflammation gone. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to help overall, cause you lose 6 pounds and two weeks of water away from inflammation. You lost 6 pounds.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:32] Great scale wise, great body wise. That's not going to continue to lose 6 pounds the next two weeks. So, you know, we want to make sure that when we're telling people, hey, this is this is what's going to happen, you're going to lose, you know, 5 to 7 pounds like first two weeks. And then that's it because inflammation is gone. We want to show that's where it is. But I think there's a chance that as long as we're eating the right foods, we can go back to eating a little bit more and not seeing it on our waistline nearly as much, because if our body's processing faster, we might be able to get that metabolism up. So we'll see as we go through patients. As we started using it's more, more. But the research on brain function. So all of you guys were like, oh, I got this mental clarity issue, like the brain fog. Like people have told me this and I love this example. The you know, I feel like I've got too much, you know, spyware on my brain and it's just dragged down my processing. I kind of computer your body computer is great. And then like a year later, it's all the stuff that you. Couldn't you get stuck on it? If it starts slowing down, like that's how I feel. This is the great thing. This is one of those things that the research is showing has been really, really beneficial at clearing that up. We're seeing the cardio left in the repair of the actual muscle tissue.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:07:43] After heart attacks, strokes and clots has been really, really good. So again, this is one of those things that, you know, anybody who's had Covid, like me or anybody who's had vaccines, this is definitely something I would I highly recommend that you guys work on. But the process we're going to go through is this is just to be part of everything we do. So it's going to be, you know, we're starting to have a cardiogram, the calcium seats. We're still going to sleep studies because again your mitochondria won't work. They don't get oxygen. And so we gotta make sure you're breathing. So we're going to do all the studies we normally do. we're going to bring the testosterone back to where it's supposed to be. We're gonna bring the nutrition back and where it's supposed to be. And then once your body has all those things ready to heal, then we can start cleaning up the mitochondria. International flushed out. So it'll be kind of similar adding to the top of it. But that's where those things I think we're going to see giant giant benefits with for long Covid. We're seeing good results with long term. We're still seeing some of the guys who are really, really bad. We're not getting them back. We're as much as we should. So this is gonna be a big one. These are peptides that basically tell the by to, hey, take the nutrients that you guys have sitting around, which first you have to make sure the nutrients are sitting around, which is why this is kind of at the end of what we're doing.
[00:08:53] We got to do all the other stuff first. It says, take all this stuff that's sitting around and fix this mitochondria because we need those. And here's the problem. Your body's you create a billion like I've read a billion molecules of ATP just to sit in the muscles and hang out. So if you're training and you're not getting the results you want, you could easily have an issue. And so that's one of those things where, you know, if you're a little bit over 30 plus and you're, you know, seeing your gains decrease, you know, that's one of the things you need to look at is ATP. If you're tired all the time, you're, you know, track fatigue thing where you're say, I'm just more tired than I should be. You know, especially if you're on test and you're more tired and you feel like you should be, you know, if you if you have problems in your family with heart attacks and strokes or anything like that, if you've had apnea for a long time. So I'm looking forward to doing this with myself soon. Because I had apnea to the point where I, where I had epilepsy, I talked about a lot, for. Almost 30 years of my life. And so I think about that. I have lowered oxygen levels to the point where I had neurologic damage, for 20 or 30 years, and I've only 43. So the vast majority of my life, with 67% of my life, I had low oxygen, damaging my whole entire metabolic function. So when I go back and you know mine, I'm expecting to see substantial amounts of stuff and I'll keep you guys abreast of it as we go through it as we start working on it. But it's it's the research on it is spectacular.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:24] I've already done a lot of stuff. I take a lot of 2010. You know, we're taking a lot of in AC. We're doing a lot of, you know, cleansing and stuff for it, and I feel fantastic all the time. Like, I take a ton of stuff, but I really feel fantastic all the time. Like, I get, you know, six hours of sleep and I'm good all day long. So, you know, I feel bad for all the patients who come in and they're like, you know, this is where I am, my journey. You know, I've got all this fat and I'm tired all the time. I feel like crap. And, you know, I just don't have the drive to do very much like, I feel I was there, but, and so, you know, I don't know if you have to take all the stuff I do, but it's worth seeing it. This energy back up life gets really awesome. So, you guys do some research on mitochondrial dysfunction, you know, and see if your symptoms that you've got line up with mitochondrial dysfunction. If they do, give us a call and we can start putting all this stuff back together again. It's going to be a really, really fun ride. But this is one of those things that we've been I've been looking for and trying to work on for a long, long time is why we we've had such success with neurodegenerative diseases or we've had success with arterial issues, heart issues, energy issues.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:11:36] And that's something because this is where a lot of this stuff has been going from. So all the all the, you know, my calories in, calories out things trash that has come from research that I've done on mitochondrial dysfunction, mitochondrial function, ATP production, you know, that type of thing. So now we have some peptides and things specifically target this. And the research is coming together. This is basically how we regenerate mitochondrial function. This is gonna be a really big deal. So as this comes through we'll get we'll do more and more. We'll get some technologies and stuff like that. But this is gonna be fun. So if you guys have these symptoms, get in and start doing the primary stuff so that we can start, you know, doing the the repair stuff. I was a peptides magic thing. I said because it usually takes about 3 to 6 weeks to get to the point where you can start doing, the, the higher mitochondrial sets I'm talking about.
