Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:05] All right. So, uh, I got a question from questions at chalmerswellness.com. Uh, asked me to go over PCOS and endometriosis. Uh, there's a couple of different things on this one that I always like to kind of run through. The first one is that a lot of people, specifically medical doctors think that the best option for PCOS in endometreosis, uh is to put everybody on birth control. Uh, that can help some people, uh especially in the short term. We haven't seen it help a tremendous amount in the long run, um, because there's, there's it's more than just needing a little bit of estrogen, a little bit of progesterone to balance everything out, uh, at birth control work. Then we wouldn't have this issue because the vast majority of people around birth control, uh. Which we can talk about the upsides and downsides of that a different day. Uh, but when we start looking at what's really going on, there's a couple of different things and I realized it's kind of like a broken record, One of the big things that creates this is the chemicals that are in the processed foods. Um, if you can start cutting those back, I'm not saying you have to go carnivore or vegetarian or vegan or anything like that, but if you start cutting out the trash that you're putting in your body, the bad chemicals you're bringing your body that helps tremendously. Um, one of the things that we'll also do is we go back through and we clean everybody up. So we'll work on, you know, killing all the parasites, killing, you know, reducing parasitic load, reducing yeast issues.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:33] Rebalancing the gut because one of the things you have to understand is again, the body isn't an individual pieces. It's not, it's not a car where you have breaks you can work on. You have the engine valves and you've got the coolant system. It's all playing together. And if you don't understand that, this is one of reasons why the medical model is not working for us from a health standpoint. Um, so we have to recognize that clearing that inflammation is going to help everything. So working in the liver, cleaning the liver. Cleaning the kidneys, feeding those things that they can start pulling the inflammation, pulling the toxic waste from both what we're eating, what we are breathing, what we were drinking and the metabolic waste out is going to help tremendously. Uh, one of the other things we always look at is the, you know, any issues like that's where we clean the gut. Cause the guts kind of sitting right there, pull those inflammation out. Now, um, one other things that we see that is probably one of the biggest issues is lack of a chemical called my own assets. Uh, so what we'll do is we, we go through a muscle test. That's usually the, the best way to diagnose these types of things. Um, and we find that a lot of these women have not only progesterone issues, but my own assets, all issues, uh, my own asshole is extremely important for insulin function, for glucose metabolism, uh and for a lot of function in reproductive function, specifically for women, uh we're supposed to be at about a hundred to one ratio of my own ass is all to And that's it all.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:02:59] But because of stress and all the, like I said, the processed foods, the chemicals, all the other trash, our bodies are closer. A lot of our women's bodies are close. To one-to-one my own asshole to DNS all, uh, which is obviously substantially, uh off where it was designed to be. Um, and so we're going to have problems. Uh, when we go away from design, we start having problems. So getting the, getting the my own ass all back up is really important. Um, so we have a product, we have my own assets all the way. I had to find it and carry it in the office for a lot of these women must have been really, really beneficial. Uh, the other thing we go through and we always try to fix our food sensitivities. So think of it this way. If you're eating foods that are causing inflammation, that are causing problems in your system, then we've got to start removing those issues. So if you're sensitive to gluten, if you are sensitive to nuts, if you're, sensitive to the chocolates, if whatever you're sensitive to, if your consuming it. And it's creating a little bit of inflammation. These are problems we got to deal with because again, they got me like all these things kind of sit in the same area. So if you're creating inflammation and irritation in the gut, it's going to sit there and kind of, you know, amplify the issues we have on the ovaries. So these are some of the issues that we usually see with this now. And this is kind of interesting. What we found is that if we can get these women adjusted, reset the way their pelvic floor sets. Reset the way that all the ligaments and tendons in the area set, um, it takes a lot of pressure off of it and it helps quite a bit. It's not one of those where the first adjustment fixes it. Uh, but what we've seen from women who have PCOS that we're treating both biochemically and chiropractically, uh,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:42] The ones who are getting the chiropractic treatments get better, faster and stay better, uh long-term. Uh, which makes sense. Cause if the muscles are too tight, it's again, holding that, that inflammatory chemicals there. Uh, not letting those things get out. The spasm is creating pressure on the, uh, the sore and inflamed areas, you know, ovaries and uterus, the whole deal. And so that's creating some issues there. So getting those things moved out is really, really important. Um, those are some of the big things that you, you know we need to start looking at for these women, uh exercise and movements is another big one, but yeah, so we'll go through pelvic floor strengthening. Um, movement exercises, we get the pelvis to kind of open up and move a little bit better so we can get more lymphatic function and more drainage, that type of thing, which is highly beneficial. And we've seen really, really good results from it. Um, but it requires a little more work. So those are some of the things that we've kind of got to. Restore back to, you know, original design with, uh, but what I'd say, one of the biggest things, you know we'll get, we'll give people in killer parasites and then give them out an asshole. And that helps the vast majority of them. Uh, some of them we've actually had to have them discontinue the birth control that they were on, uh because the additional hormonal changes were problematic. That doesn't mean we can't use a secondary, uh form of birth control. Uh so,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:04] And while we're kind of running through that real quick, there isn't a There isn't a birth control that will work for every person without giving problems, uh, the copper IUDs copper is really, really problematic to the body and to the way that our body uses the chemistry to function. And so that's why it works so well as a, as something that doesn't allow for a fertilization implementation and plantation of the eggs. Uh, so there's, there's going to be some issues that some people see with Uh, and there's obviously going to be some issues we see with the hormonal birth controls as well. Uh, one of the that I've read a little bit about, and we've seen this with different people is, uh, it's kind of interesting because, uh we've seen a lot of the women will tell us that the types of guys that they like when they're on birth control versus when they are off is different, which shouldn't be a big shock because if you're giving women Hormones you have to assume that those hormones are going to affect their body in a variety of ways. And so instead of just being like, well, all it does is work on this little spot and doesn't do anything anywhere else, I think that's a little bit silly, especially when we, when we talk to women and go, okay, any estrogen, any progesterone, if you have any birth, even breast cancer issues or ovarian cancer issues, we've got to be really careful about, because estrogen and progesteron. Feed into producing cancers in the breast and the ovaries and uterus and things like that. So if we're going to say that on one hand and tell women they can't have these hormones because it's going to increase the chances of breast cancer getting worse, we can't on the other side be like, oh no, they're completely innocuous. We'll just give these to you and it'll, it'll fix all your problems.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:07:52] So there's a little bit of issue, like I said, with that and we can get into birth control at a different time. But with the PCOS, those are the things that we usually start with is we're gonna clean your gut up. We're gonna remove the things that are causing the inflammation. We're going to remove the things that are putting way too much pressure on your liver and kidneys, keeping your body from detoxing and keeping your body from getting the inflammatory, you know, the chemicals that make your body not work right and make them and the chemicals that make you soar. More tender, more pain, more painful. We're gonna get those chemicals out and then we're going to quit putting the chemicals in that are, or we're gonna quit putting the chemicals that are inflaming your gut. So the food sensitivities, or like what we do is we will desensitize you to those so that you can still eat them and they just don't cause any problems. We're going do that. And then we gonna feed the body the chemicals it requires to actually do the job. And one of the major chemicals that we mentioned was my own acetyl. Now there's other things that we will use. You know, a lot of times the body will use, you need a little bit of progesterone bump. And so we can give, you know, there's some oils we use that are based on wild yam that bring in a little more natural progesterin at lower levels. Uh, we can use those things, the adjusting to take pressure off the yours and everything is a great one. Um,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:03] But the biggest one that I've seen that's been the most beneficial is changing the diet. Uh, and we usually walk people through it and that kind of helps a lot of people out, but those are going to be the things that you really need to start looking at. And the problem is, is that. And I'm sure there's some MDs who are going to be okay with this. And I don't want to make any blanket statements about how MDs don't know anything about nutrition, but they're not taught anything. Now, if you find a good functional medicine doctor who actually understands biochemical pathways and things like that, they might be beneficial as far as changing your diet. But your standard medical doc is not just not taught these things, what they are kind of in their little overview things taught, is the same things that the American Heart Association, the Diabetic Association, and the FDA is teaching everybody, which is 100% wrong. All the stuff the American Heart Association teaches about heart health is wrong and all the things that I mean, diabetic associations teach for as far as nutrition go are wrong. Um, so. We kind of have to wonder, wow, this organization that only exists because they have these issues. Why would they want those issues to go away? And then you look at the recommendations and you go, Oh, they don't want them to go. All right. Um,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:10:15] So those are some of the things that I would walk people through. Um, the easiest thing if you're like, well, if you, I can't listen to them, what should I do? Go back to the things that don't have any secondary, don't come in boxes and don't them in bags. Fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fatty meats, real meats, not processed meats. Those will be kind of, eggs, eggs are fantastic. Those will kind of get you kind of back where you need to go. Just make sure if you're gonna be doing vegetables that you one source them really, really well. The vegetables that we eat in this country have the most toxins on them of anything because they're sprayed continuously. So make sure you're. You know, getting good organic stuff and that you're washing it in a good, clean, but a good solid vegetable wash before you consume it. Um, and then check on your meat, you know? Is it grass fed grass finished? You know, where's it coming from that type of thing? Uh, and it sucks that we all have to do these things because, you know, we should have organizations that we can pay to do for it, but they're not doing it. So if you've got endometriosis or PCOS, uh, start with that stuff. And if you're not getting exactly where you want to go, uh swing in, we'll help take care of it. But, uh look for that my own asshole. It's if you looking, if you trying to find a good source,.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:11:20] The pillars of wellness website has it on there on the store, just go in and grab some of that. That stuff's been really beneficial for the vast majority of women we've used it with. If you don't know how much to take, you know, take one in the morning, one at night, see how it helps. If you're like it helped, but didn't give you there take, two in the morning, two at night. And that'll help kind of get you where you need to be. But if you'll start cleaning out your diet as well, that's going to make the biggest impact on your overall health because the chemicals we put in our mouth on a daily basis. The chemical we run on. And so, you know, my big push to get all the mamas cleaned up before they get pregnant. This is a big piece of that. So if you have friends or loved ones who are, or yourself or daughters or whatever, who are thinking about, you have, starting a family, get them cleaned up.

Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:12:07] You know, if all you can do is just be like, get off the processed foods, that'll be a big benefit to mama and a baby. Um, if you guys are, you're working on a little bit more, Giving the supplementation, giving the nutrition stuff. Get yourself cleaned up really well, uh, you know, give us a call. We can, you, this is one of our big things. We try to walk people through. Uh, and the other thing is starting to working on pelvic floor work. The pelvic floorwork will help not only PCOS and demyteriosis, getting those musculaturing and everything where it's supposed to be, but it'll also help with pregnancy. So, you now, a lot of these women who have PCOS in the demytersis, we'll talk about how it affects their pregnancy. And so if we can start working on this beforehand, it'll help all the way through.
