Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:00:03] So, a question I got from the questions at chalmerswellness.com is about some of the larger major body transformations that we do. One of the things I always tell people, and it's funny cause I always have this conversation with people when they start asking about, you know, doing larger stacks or doing, you now, more anabolic. So, you adding windstraw and of our adding in, um, just when the guys are doing trends like that, you, know, when they're like, I want to do all these things, but I want to do it right. Um, what are the, what is some of the things that we go through? So The, the biggest thing that you've got to recognize is that when you're going to start doing a larger stack, when you start doing, you know, test deck up prima ball and you know adding trend and you whatever you're gonna do, you kind of have to recognize that you're. Going to have to start when you have to use everything. And so it's, what is your workout? Like if you're working out three days a week, you know, for 45 minutes, that's not, you don't want to necessarily add anything larger in. If you're, if you've got the time to work out four or five days, six days a week, then that's beneficial. So you can start ramping everything up from that position. Uh, if. If you, if, you're going to do that, that you have to make sure that everything's where it's supposed to be. And this is one of those things that people start messing out. Like the, the, more to a point that you get everything, the more focused you get, everything, um, or the higher you're gonna push, the more everything becomes even more relevant.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:01:40] So the sleep is a primary thing. So we usually start with diet and sleep. Sleep is one of the easier things to get set up. And so I always tell people, all right, here's what I want you to do. You know, set your sleep up and we'll walk through exactly how we do it with sleep times and wait times and meditation function and getting the deepest possible sleep possible that you can. So we'll start with that. Uh, and then we go through diet and make sure the diet's perfect. So generally what we're going to try to do is we're gonna try to Uh, highly restrict carbohydrates, increase the fat and radically increase protein for these guys. Um, one of the big things people don't understand is that your body. The biggest thing is that people still base everything on calories, which is a horrible, terrible idea. Um, like I keep telling people, calories don't really exist. Calories are not a thing. Uh, and the reason I say that and the way I say that is show me what they are. Look them up, show me the chemical equation. Show me any of the, any of that, the credit cycle, the recycled lactate, lactic cycle. TCA, any of those things that have calories in them. And if you can show me where the calories are, maybe we can start integrating them into the, into the biochemistry that we're doing, but since calories don't exist and you have to go through macro function, that's the first place to start the idea that you need carbohydrates to build large bodies and to build muscle is oftentimes not accurate at all. There are some people that we have to give high glycemic functional carbohydrates to that are really, really lean and can't gain mass. That's a different story. Was about. Maybe 15% of the population, uh, the vast majority of people will not only lose fat, but gain musculature if you take away the carbohydrates.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:03:14] So remember your body uses adenosine triphosphate or ATP as the actual energy source. And you already makes that your body makes it from fats and it makes it from sugars, but your body also makes sugar. So a lot of people who are thinking they're running keto and they're running a high protein, mild fat, zero carbohydrate diet. They're not actually in ketosis. The body's not running on ketones. It's running on sugar. The sugar that your body's running on your body is making through gluconeogenesis. So the whole premise of, you know, what we're going to do is impacted upon greatly by that. So making sure your body has the fuel and the actual building blocks it requires is important. And so everybody's needs are a little bit different on that one, but we usually walk through on that one, the biggest thing that you've got to recognize. When you are, when you're adding a larger stack in is you've got to, you've got to recognize what chemistry the body's doing that's going to, that's going to take a hit. So for a lot of this stuff, any of these oral, you know, uh, anabolic, Winsor and of our, you go, even if you're taking, um, some of the, some of the encyclopedias and some of those things, you're taking them orally, you have to recognize was called first pass. So first pass is where, as you digest everything, how to hit your liver first. Which is fine. You know, when an Anovar have been notorious, like giant reputation for tearing at people's liver, especially in the bodybuilding community. And the problem we get into with that is that it's not that their liver toxic necessarily. It's so that we're not doing, we're giving the body the tools it requires to make them safe.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:04:50] So a lot of times when people are doing when an hour they're doing it on a cutting cycle, which means they're not again, based on calories, they've greatly reduced the nutrient intake. The methylated B vitamins, the omega-3 fatty acids, you know, all the things about it requires to actually functionally process stuff. And so what ends up happening is that they end up with liver damage and they go, Oh, it was, it's entirely how dangerous these, these anabolic are. No, it's just, you didn't supply the body with the nutrients it required to do the chemistry needed to build and process the, the antibiotics, the steroids, where we're going to call them out. So that's one of the big things we always want to try to add in are those, are those nutrients. And so getting the supplementation in or getting the diet set properly so that we can avoid that is one of biggest things that you've got to do. Um, one of other things I always like to stress, and I try to stress this with every single person. Who calls me up and says, Hey, I'm going to do these things, but I want your advice and doing it safely. Um, if you have hair on your head, um, you need to be very careful with this, with the amount of androgens you take out, uh, whether you're a woman or you're a man and a lot of people go, well, you know, now I'm a guy so I can handle it. That's not necessarily how that works. So a lot times what we'll end up doing is instead of adding in a bunch of androgyns, you people are on test, they want to add in. When an Anivar and, you know, whatever, uh, and, and just so everybody understands trends, fantastic, but it's also super volatile. Like you've got to really kind of make sure that all the, all the places, all the levers and all the pins are in the right place before you start throwing that in. Um, but the biggest thing is that those androgens cause hair loss. Uh, we see it a lot in women. We see it, a lot of men, uh. And everybody thinks they're fine until it starts happening.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:06:39] And I went with a lot of things. By the time you start noticing it, you're, you know, You're down the road a long way and it takes a while to come back. So be very cognizant of that and make sure that you're when you're designing these, make sure you start putting things in like the copper peptides, the copper, peptides are probably your biggest hit. Um, I would add in the, either the topical topical is great. The injectable is fine. Um, we use a lot of the injectable, the, uh, the GHK KU CU copper peptide. Um, I would put those on, um, I would add in a lot of the anti DHT herbal shampoos to keep the hair functioning, uh, where it's supposed to be. And, uh I would make sure that you're watching it on a regular basis. We have a product that's we use, uh specifically for, uh hair functions. So we use mineral, we use the amino acid blend and college and stuff like that's the body has the amino acids and the superior B vitamin. So they have all the things they require to generate and grow hair. So, you know, it's one of those things that if you're going to do these things, you know they're always going to be a little bit dangerous, but having all the stuff prepared and having all of the side effects known ahead of time is a big deal. Uh, and what I'd always recommend, if you were going to, you're thinking about, you know, Hey, I'm going to jack up my, my, what I'm doing. I'm gonna add in more peptides. I'm adding a different anabolic or I'm going to run a stack. I'm gonna run a cycle. Awesome. Get with somebody who knows more. Like if you just go to the guy who's selling you the stuff, uh, they might know a tremendous amount. However, uh at the end of the day, I would tell you to get with somebody who understands the entire breadth of what's going on. Um,.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:08:26] The supplementation is big. The biochemistry is big, you can do these things in a safe way. Like one of the guys, my favorite story about this one, we had a guy come in who did 25 megs of antivirus and when Uh, for eight weeks and he pushes ALT, ASC way over 200 got John disk and all sorts of liver issues. Um, the second time he did it, we did it when he ran it with me. He did 50 migs of antiviral and 50 megs of when for 12 weeks, uh, with a little bit higher testosterone levels, we started off his ALT ASC was in the low sixties. And at the end of the 12 weeks he checked it again and it was in the middle forties, so not only did he do twice as much of the antibiotics for about 50% longer than you did the first time. Um, his liver got healthier. And the reason for that was because of the diet and because of the supplementation, because the way we, we set up his workout and his sleep. So if you guys are looking to do something like that, it's not always, we were always like, Oh, it can be the worst thing in the world you do to yourself. Not always. Not if you do it right. Remember these things are there to regenerate and heal your tissue. That's what they do. You know, Oxangelone or Anubar, you know, Anubarin win have been used medically for lung issues and kids, they've been used for you know, tissue regeneration, healing for a long time. They're fantastic add-ons. You just got to use them right.
Dr. Matt Chalmers [00:09:40] You know, if you put a supercharger on a car, but you know you don't change the brakes or the steering or anything else, it becomes dangerous, but if you maintain everything else, It's a great add on. So if you guys are looking to do those type of things and you guys are already interested in doing that, I would highly recommend that you get ahold of us and kind of get us to walk you through some of the stuff that you might not know. In the methyl AB vitamin function. The omega-3 fatty acids, like what the liver actually needs to be healthy and clean, um, how radically important sleep is to this process. Um, that's probably the thing that I see messed up more than anything is, you know, people will usually get a pretty solid diet. And at the end of the day, you look late and you're like, yeah, it's not the direction I would have told you to go, but it's not going to harm you. Um, and then, you know. Usually people are not very good on the supplementation. So we work with that, but the thing is that if you don't get your sleep where it's supposed to be. First, before you start adding these things in, it's, you're not gonna get where you wanna go. Remember, you heal, regenerate, and repair at night while you're asleep. If you're sleeping properly, you're screwing this whole thing up. So, you know, get with somebody who can get your sleep dialed in right first, then get your diet dialed and get your workout dialed in, then add on the antibiotics. Cause that should be the thing that supercharges your vehicle. You shouldn't base that off of it. And so, you shouldn't be like, well, I'm just gonna do these things, it'll work out. It won't. If you, whatever antibiotics you're adding in, aren't necessarily going to get you where you want to go. If you don't give the body the tools that requires to then do the job you're asking it to do. So if you guys have any questions about that, or if you're worried about that, get with us, uh, you know, pillars of wellness.com, you know, hit me, send me a DM, that type of thing.
